Hello everyone, I am here with another story.This is not like other big stories that are available on this blog but I am thinking of changing this short story into a long one with the help of our readers. This is a story of a man who left his job for thinking some good for his enemies. The circumstances that force him to do some bad things and the same circumstances changing him again to become a good person in the end. I hope you like the story and will help me to make a good series out of this story.
Steve came out of the hospital in hurry and asked for a taxi. He had to wait for little long as it was 5 in the morning and no cab was there for him. He did not waited for that long and began to take long steps toward his final destination. 5 minutes later after he started the walk, he found a cab. He got into the cab and asked him to take him straight to the pub.
Steve was an army man and his body fixture spoke much about it. He was six and a half feet high with very little extra fat on his belly. He was in his late forties. He was released from his services for not listening to the orders of officials to kill civilians in the time of war.
It took half an hour for the cab to reach the pub. He entered the pub and went to the reception. He asked for a beer. He asked the bartender for the extra chilled one so that the pain in his head leaves his head forever.
She listened to him and came up with an extra chilled bottle of beer for him. He took the beer and sat on his permanent seat that was the last seat in the pub. He asked for Bob from a person standing in the right corner of the pub. He told Steve that he was in a room in the first floor. He went up and began to check every room until he found a fat man in a room.
"Hey Bob, how are you?" Steve asked.
"I am fine, tell me man what brought you here."
"I need some money."
"How much man?"
"10 Thousand dollars."
"What?" Bob was surprised to hear this from Steve.
"I don't have this much money. But,I can fix a meeting of yours with Russell, he provide this much of money to the people and take interests on the money that he give." Bob said to Steve.
"Please do it for me." Steve pleaded Bob.
Bob is one of the best friend of Steve. They were together in the college and had many memorable days in their past. Steve had saved Bob many times from any danger around him. Steve never asks for help from Bob but this was a rare case when he was asking for a favor.
"I am fine, tell me man what brought you here."
"I need some money."
"How much man?"
"10 Thousand dollars."
"What?" Bob was surprised to hear this from Steve.
"I don't have this much money. But,I can fix a meeting of yours with Russell, he provide this much of money to the people and take interests on the money that he give." Bob said to Steve.

Bob went to the other room talked to someone and came back to Steve and told him that he had arranged the meeting with him. Steve thanked him and went to the room in the back of the pub but he was stopped by two guards at the door who asked him to wait for the call. He sat on the nearby chair and waited for his turn.
After 10 minuted Steve was called to come in. He got inside and followed one of the guard inside. He have to pass through a small gallery. Paintings and pictures of old people were hanged in the sides of the gallery. Steve didn't thought much about it. He went straight inside without standing there to watch those beautiful painting. When he reached the main hall the guard checked him for any kind of arm.
He found a black African man seating on a big sofa. In the front of the sofa there was a table where a white color powder was lying along with a dollar which was folded in a mode to make a tube. The black man was holding that tube. The black man was long and a little over weighted. He was wearing a long jacket to save himself from the cold wind that was blowing out.
"Why are you here?" Russell asked Steve.
"I need some money and I came to know that you can provide me the right amount." Steve said to Russell.
"Yes it is correct. I can provide you money but only if you have something to give me in return."
"But I have nothing to offer."
"What nothing, then it may be difficult for you."
"Please I need the money. Its very important for me. Please"
"Hmmm... OK, I will give you the money if I found your reason interesting and I have some work for you that you have to do for me. So start why do you need it?"
"I need some money and I came to know that you can provide me the right amount." Steve said to Russell.
"Yes it is correct. I can provide you money but only if you have something to give me in return."
"But I have nothing to offer."
"What nothing, then it may be difficult for you."
"Please I need the money. Its very important for me. Please"
"Hmmm... OK, I will give you the money if I found your reason interesting and I have some work for you that you have to do for me. So start why do you need it?"
"I have a son who is fourteen years old. Last year he faced some pain in the chest and he fainted in his school. We didn't found anything to worry about that as my wife was a doctor and she said that it was nothing serious. Generally she was hiding the truth from me. She never told me about my son's bad condition and started giving him the treatment. Six months ago she died in an car accident.
After that my son's condition began to fall until it get very bad and now he is lying on the bed of the country hospital doctors are saying that he has a hole in his heart. To see him fully cured I have to submit ten thousand dollars at the hospital reception before 2 days and if I unable to do it then my son is going to die."
"That's it." Steve told Russell to give him the money he told that he is ready to pay any amount of interest to him.
Russell thought something for sometime and then he said,"OK I will give you the money you want but, you have to do something for me."
"What is it. I will do anything for the money."
"Nothing much you have to break into a house and anything you loot will be yours.” Russell said to Steve
"Really, whose house is it."
"It can be any house of your choice."
"OK I am ready."
"What is it. I will do anything for the money."
"Nothing much you have to break into a house and anything you loot will be yours.” Russell said to Steve
"Really, whose house is it."
"It can be any house of your choice."
"OK I am ready."
"You have to choose any target according to you. This is the map of whole city. Plan the burglary. You are the boss of this crew. You are responsible for them." Russell told Steve and left the room. Steve was left with some people. Everyone introduced themselves to the Steve one by one and then Steve asked them to get on the work.
"Let us find a easy target and a target which can be easily looted. Go out and bring a choice of your own in 2 hours and again meet me here." Steve told them and went back to hall.
He slept there for sometime but was not able to sleep for more then ten minutes. After two hours everyone was back and was in the room for one more time and was talking about their choices.
"So, tell me about your choices one by one." Steve said to all the people standing in the room.
Everyone talked about their choices one by one and the room went to silence for one more time. Steve thought for some time and then announced the result that they will be looting a house in which whole the family had gone to a hill station for spending their holidays and they had only an old lady in the house.
"So everyone, go to the house and collect the data like, are they having any guard or are they having any dog or any other interesting stuff about them and meet me here at 5 p.m. If everything went correct then we will be looting the house tonight.
All the members of the gang went to the house situated in the outskirts of the city.The house was nearly 5 miles away from the police station so the police will need nearly 10 minutes to reach the house.
Everything went great and all the gang members along with Steve went inside the house by climbing a wall which enclosed whole of the house. They reached in the garden of the house.
Steve reached the front gate of the house and found that it was closed. So he asked one of the gang member to find out any alternative way to enter the house. He went to the back of the house and came back within no time and told Steve that their was a window open that lead to the store room of the house and the store room is open from outside.
Steve asked the whole team to enter the house from the window one by one. Everyone got inside from the window and found that the room in front of them open as told by one of the men in the gang. Steve told the members that they will first find out the room in which the old lady is sleeping and one person will stand outside the door and keep a check of the door.
One of the man got out and started finding the bedroom in which the lady was sleeping. He found the room in the right corner of the house. The man stood their and the other people started looking for some valuable things in the house . Steve found a cupboard in a room on the first floor of the house. He opened the cupboard and found a very expensive set of diamonds. He placed it inside his pocket and went out to find something else for them.
After sometime when they had founded enough things for themselves then Steve decided to leave the place and go out of the house. He asked everyone to gather around and get ready for leaving.
"Boss, this is a big house. We must check the bedroom for once. We will definitely find something great inside there."
John said to Steve. John also told Steve that they are not having enough goods so that Steve cannot pay the bills of the hospital. This made Steve to listen to John and asked everyone to enter the bedroom and leaded them from front.
As Steve opened the door and reach the dark region inside the room. He was the only one present in the room along with a lady sleeping on the bed. As Steve moved forward, the wooden floor of the room started making sound.
"Who is it?" A voice came from the bed and the blood dried out from the veins of Steve. A hand came out from under the blanket and switched on the light to discover Steve standing in front of the bed holding some cash in his that he had found from one of the room of the house.
"Kill her." John said to Steve who was holding a gun and was pointing it toward the lady on the bed. John was standing outside the room so that the lady could not see him along with the other people of the gang. The lady was holding a phone in her hand. She said nothing but also not even leaving the phone from her hand.
"She had even seen you. The police will find you some day. Kill her." John Shouted loudly from outside.
"Keep quite." Steve shouted loudly in return. Steve could hear a beep sound of the police van coming from a far away distance and sound was increasing as they were coming close. He listen the braking sound of police van's Tyre made in the front of the house.
Everyone started to run toward the store room from where they have entered the house. They also left the looted goods in the house.
"Kill her and come out quickly." John said to Steve. Steve was left still in the room. He was holding the gun in same position. The policeman came out of his truck and knocked the front gate of the house. The lady got up from the bed and went past Steve to open the door.
she spent some time with the officer and tell him that everything was fine inside. The officer told her that your neighbors called the police station and told them their is some thing unusual going on in her house.
The lady talked with the officers for some time and then the officers went away. The lady came back to the room and found Steve lying on the floor. As the lady came inside the room, Steve went up to touch her foot.
"What are you doing." She asked Steve.
"I am Sorry. I had not done it deliberately. I had some conditions that made me do this." Steve said to lady.
"Tell me your story." The lady asked Steve.
Steve got up and told the whole story to the lady. As Steve completed his story t lady went to one of the room and came up with some money in her hand and gave it to Steve.
"This is the money that you wanted. I am not giving it to you for free. I want you to do something for me." Lady said to Steve.
